Since this is a person-centered approach, it is applied in different care settings, such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, or family homes.<\/p><p>The workshop always concludes with real-life case studies, where participants have the opportunity to apply what they have learned, preparing them to be able to do the same in their work or home environments as soon as the Workshop is over! Seminar attendance (minimum 90%) is required to receive a Certificate of Completion from AMI.<\/p><p><strong> MDDA Practitioner Certification<\/strong><\/p><p>Individuals who wish to become MDDA Practitioners and have completed the MDDA Workshop, may enrol in this self-study program under the guidance of an MDDA Trainer. The programme includes a written exam, the creation, presentation and approval of original activities and the documentation of how they were used and how effective they were, as well as a personal recommendation from an on-site Supervisor. Programme duration is 6 months.<\/p><p><strong> Training of Trainers<\/strong><\/p><p>To ensure continuity in the MDDA, AMI has established a Training of Trainers programme, so that current experts can pass on their knowledge to new trainers, who will then be able to offer MDDA training in more locations around the world. This information is available on the MDDA website.<\/p><p><strong>Universal certification for long-term care facilities<\/strong><\/p><p>Of particular interest is the fact that there is a certification process for long-term care facilities. This is particularly important for the implementation of MDDA, as it offers a complete \u201cparadigm shift,\u201d as described by Anne Kelly.
